Earlier this month I got the shift gears from my usual life as a Maine wedding photographer and Maine portrait photographer and do a commercial job. Over the last year or so a friend has started a company, October Rose Weddings, that sells custom bridal accessories like tiaras, birdcage veils, traditional bridal veils, feather fascinators, hair jewelry, purses and bags. Now I have to admit that I am not a commercial photographer, but for one day it was fun having a paid model (isn’t Emily gorgeous!), hair and makeup artists and having the client run around as my assistant. Not so much fun was carrying up an entire studio of gear to the fourth floor, 1930’s era ballroom we were using for a location. The client was looking for this exact chic look of long ago elegance. I am so thrilled with the results! I am delivering the photos to the client today so she should be adding some to her website soon.
