This summer I have been noticing a new trend in for Maine Weddings. I am getting a lot of requests for Maine elopements. The couple is Larry and Kirsten and they decided to sneak away last to the Inn by the Sea. As you might notice Kirsten is 7 months pregnant. This was a wonderful couple and we had a great time making some nice pictures to help them remember eloping to Maine.

Are you planning to elope to Maine this summer? I have been getting a lot of calls lately from couple’s that are planning to elope to Maine and get married in our beautiful state. For the record I will be happy to make photos of you and your fiancee as you exchange your vows. We can then make some memorable pictures of you and your spouse in Maine’s beautiful landscape. Every Maine elopement is different so I will be happy to give you a custom quote. Without all the fuss of a full wedding, the photography fees when eloping to Maine are much less than a full wedding and will be along the lines of my portrait rates. Even though you have decided to take a less traditional route that a full Maine wedding its still important to have photos to remember the day.
It felt so great to shift gears a few weeks ago and once again be a Maine Wedding Photographer. I have officially started my 2012 wedding photo season with Bob and Rhonda at Sugarloaf, Maine. Back when I was talking with the couple we had great plans to make some photos that screamed Sugarloaf Wedding! The couple promised they were going to take a run in full wedding attire! Awesome! I was so excited to make some unique pictures. Unfortunately Maine’s crazy weather got the best of the slopes and there simply wasn’t enough snow. But this couple and their guests didn’t miss a beat. After all they still loved each other and it was time to party. This party simply rocked and its one people at Sugarloaf will talk about for years to come.

Earlier this month I got the shift gears from my usual life as a Maine wedding photographer and Maine portrait photographer and do a commercial job. Over the last year or so a friend has started a company, October Rose Weddings, that sells custom bridal accessories like tiaras, birdcage veils, traditional bridal veils, feather fascinators, hair jewelry, purses and bags. Now I have to admit that I am not a commercial photographer, but for one day it was fun having a paid model (isn’t Emily gorgeous!), hair and makeup artists and having the client run around as my assistant. Not so much fun was carrying up an entire studio of gear to the fourth floor, 1930′s era ballroom we were using for a location. The client was looking for this exact chic look of long ago elegance. I am so thrilled with the results! I am delivering the photos to the client today so she should be adding some to her website soon.
So after you are done looking at the photos, make sure you visit the October Rose Weddings‘ website at http://www.octoberroseweddings.com

Congratulations to Amanda and J.R. who were married at the York Harbor Reading Room. The couple had a beautiful fall Maine wedding. Among the highlights of the day was their wedding cake made by one of the bridesmaids. Check out that cake! It could have seen cakes by professional bakers that don’t look that good. Thanks Amanda and J.R. for choosing me as your Maine wedding photographer!

For those of you that haven’t heard I am in the process of expanding my studio space and doubling the size of my shooting room. Yeah! Demolition is done and today they are going to be patching drywall. Early next week they are putting down hardwood floors.
So until next Wednesday Nov. 9 I am going to be a bit harder to reach than normal. I am set up in a temporary space but don’t have regular access to my phone. I will be checking messages several times a day and get back to you as soon as possible. E-mail is the best option during this time.
Thanks for your patience. This will be the last major change for 5 years and well worth the inconvenience. My shooting room will be a massive 22×40. This will allow me to offer you so many more options and cool stuff. I can’t wait to start shooting in the new space!
I am in the final stretch of the season as a Maine wedding photographer. This lovely couple is Karly and Brian. They were married a few weeks ago at the 1812 Farm in Bristol. It was a humid day but the rain held off so the couple could have their ceremony down by the pond. This was my first time shooting at the 1812 Farm and I loved its simplistic beauty. Brian and Karly were a warm and friendly couple that were great to work with. Thanks guys! Enjoy the sneak peak at their Maine wedding photos.
